UPDATE-Rescued Arabian-Help needed with donations
Theresa sent Nick’s update this morning.
A very big thank you goes to all who care for this boy.
Nick now greets me at the gate almost all of the time when I go to the barn. It’s cute, and sad at the same time, to hear his weak little whinny. Most of the time when I am at the barn working he follows me around. If I go in the tack/feed room he stands outside of the door and waits for me – just like Grandma used to do. If I slip away while he is grazing or something, when he realizes I’m not in sight any longer, he whinnies and starts walking all around until he finds me. I think he would stand still all day for me to groom him.
Yesterday he had a slight clear discharge from his nose. This afternoon it has turned a bit green/yellow so I am going to call the vet first thing in the am and get him to come out. I don’t think it is anything to be alarmed about – his temp and resp are normal. But I don’t want to take a chance that anything is brewing. I borrowed some body clippers today but I’m not going to clip him until the vet examines him.
Nick has so many people pulling for him – what a blessing! We want to thank everyone that has called, sent emails, good thoughts, and prayers, and donations. And thank you to everyone that is sending out updates for us – it’s very hard for me to be at the computer much so I truly do appreciate it. You are all angels!
Here a couple of pictures taken today. I hope I’m not overloading everyone with too many pictures – I love taking pictures. You can see that the look in his eyes has softened up a bit – he looks much more at ease compared to the day he arrived.
Sincerely,
Theresa
