Challenging Our System of Checks and Balances

Dear Friend,

” For 39 years, nine unelected men and women on the Supreme Court have played God with innocent human life. “

They have invented laws that condemned to painful deaths without trial more than 56 million babies for the crime of being “inconvenient.”

Folks, these two irritating and dangerous statements did not come from Barrack Obama, ( this time; he made similar ones a few months ago. ) Harry Reid or the liberals in the media, Hollywood,  Canada ( I included Canada because there are those in the liberal media machine, in this country, that come from Canada and are not American Citizens yet they continually run their mouths negatively about conservative Americans. ) This statement came fromKentucky’s REPUBLICAN Senator Rand Paul!

These beauties are the beginning of an email I received from Sen. Paul concerning the  U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.  This decision paved the way for women to obtain abortions legally in this country.

The email itself is nothing more than an attempt by Paul to 1) remind us there is always a way around laws and decisions we don’t like. 2) raise money for his pro-life crusade. 3) get me to sign a petition to have congress pass legislation to bypass the Court’s decision. All three of which should be offensive to most Americans who can think and reason for themselves.

What is offensive about this email is, a United States Senator, a Republican, challenging the authority of the Supreme Court to provide checks and balances to the Executive and Legislative branches of government.  The Supreme Court has the authority to tell a President that his actions are not allowed by the Constitution. It can tell Congress that a law it passed violated the U.S. Constitution and is, therefore, no longer a law. It can also tell the government of a state that one of its laws breaks a rule in the Constitution. It is there to enforce the Constitution.  ( Allthough, these days, they’re not doing a very good job of it. )

Rand Paul and Barrack Obama, let us not forget, he did the same thing a few months ago, have both challenged the validity, the authority and the constitutionality of the Supreme to check their powers and protect the American people from laws that violate the constitution and put our freedom and our way of life in peril.  This cannot continue.  ” Public Servants ” like Paul and Obama must be weeded out of positions of power by the American people so America can grow and prosper as a free nation governed by the people, for the people; not by a bunch of arrogant, self-centered, insincere, egotistic jackasses that don’t care about anything other than their own ideology.

Paul and Obama believe the Supreme Court does not have to authority to decide what is constitutional or not because the justices were not elected, I believe Paul and Obama should not have been elected because of their challenges to the Court’s authority. Neither should be re-elected.
