Senators are dragging their feet on S311 Bill to help horses

Dear Friends,

As you all know, our Senators are dragging their feet to stand up for our horses this year.

In 2006, we had 34 co-sponsors for the AHSPA (  http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:SN01915:@@@P), today we have 27. Why? Some who co-sponsored last year are not on our list, two of them are Presidential candidates.

It’s time to focus on those who signed up last year, or who have a lot to lose by not signing on. Let’s let them know how we feel and get this done, before we are looking at 2008 and so many more horses are barbarically murdered.

To begin, I am asking everyone to contact these four Senators. Please, be polite, but be strong in your request. It is time for this law to be passed and the American people are heard.

Please call, fax and forward this to everyone you know. Educate as many people as you can. So many still don’t know about this atrocity!

These are the four Senators that we need to get on board at this time:

The Honorable Charles Schumer (co-sponsored in 2006)

It is time for these Senators to join us and state emphatically that they are against horse slaughter. Let’s let them know how we feel! If you would like to see who has co-sponsored so far in 2007, you can see here:  http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:SN00311:@@@P

Thank you for helping our horses!
