FOR THE PAST FIVE DAYS I HAVE RECEIVED 36 EMAILS FROM GOOD CONSERVATIVE ORGANIZATIONS ALL REQUESTING FUNDS. I can not support all of them, as you think I am capable of doing. This is TOO MANY for five days (April 11th to April 15th).

I want to stay involved and help when I can, BUT as a retired person trying to support my wife and maintain a meek standard of living, on an income of less than forty thousand dollars a year I am sorry to tell you there is only so much blood you can get from this turnip!

David, my advice to you would be to do what I do. Ignore them as much as you can, when they start to get to you, reply with emails explaining how they keep telling us how bad the economy is. Simply explain to them that supporting their organization takes a back seat to supporting yourself and your family. Now, they will keep sending requests for your money, because they just don’t care. I’ve been known to write articles on this site and send them to my local newspaper as well as some national publications and my congressmen. An even better idea, this is one I just thought of, ask them for donations! Turn the tables on them! The ironic part, in my case is, I get them from liberal organizations as well. That really irritates me. Keep me posted.
