Vice President Joe Biden is decided to forgo a 2016 presidential bid, he announced Wednesday.”I believe we’re out of time — the time necessary to mount a winning campaign,” the vice president said from the White House Rose Garden with his wife Jill Biden and President Obama by his side. The decision ends months of speculation about whether Biden would step up to challenge Hillary Clinton, the current front runner for the Democratic nomination and his former Obama administration colleague. The vice president took his time to consider whether he and his family had the “emotional energy” to endure another campaign, following the tragic death over the summer of his 46-year-old son Beau.”As my family and I have worked through the grieving process, I’ve said all along — what I’ve said time and again to others — that it may very well be that process, by the time we get through it, closes the window on mounting a realistic campaign for president – that it might close,” Biden said Wednesday.
