Every once in a while, it becomes shockingly clear that liberals are not just off their rockers, but may not even live in the same reality as the rest of us. The way they perceive the world around them is in such stark contrast with the facts that you have to wonder if undiagnosed mental illness isn’t a much bigger problem then we realize. It would certainly explain the way they’ve reacted to the events unfolding in Oregon.For at least a couple of years, the Obama administration – in conjunction with the leftists at the Southern Poverty Law Center – has gone to great lengths to convince Americans that right-wing, anti-government militia groups are a much greater threat to national security than their Islamic counterparts. This disinformation campaign has been a failure, mostly because Americans tend to give greater weight to mass murder than the mere prospect of mass murder.But now, liberals have their chance. By seizing control of a wildlife federal building in rural Oregon, Ammon Bundy and his cohorts have given them just the opportunity they’ve been waiting for. How this standoff plays out hardly matters, although we all pray for a peaceful conclusion. Even if it ends without anyone getting the slightest scratch, though, the nitwits in the media have created a narrative that is both self-serving and hilariously cannibalistic.“Did I miss the call for the National Guard in Oregon?” asked TV host Roland Martin. “I recall them in Ferguson and Baltimore.”Writing in the Washington Post Sunday, Janell Ross took aim at the media, asking “Why aren’t we calling the Oregon occupiers ‘terrorists’?”
